History & Heritage
GEA HX technology and advanced systems may be right up-to-the-minute but our heritage in air conditioning goes back a long way. In fact, we have been designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining air conditioning and refrigeration systems since the mid 1940s.
With our headquarters and chief manufacturing centre in Hereford UK, we have long been regarded as one of the area’s most important employers, and in 2005 moved to brand new, purpose built premises – still in Hereford – to mark the beginning of a new era in world-class air conditioning.
In October 2006 the GEA Group acquired Denco Ltd. With the addition of two Denco plants, in Hereford and Istanbul the number of production plants operated by the Air Treatment Business Unit grew to a total of ten. The acquisition created two significant new opportunities for the Air Treatment: first, access to the British market and, second, the possibility of synergies in Turkey.
We have a team of over 100 expert service engineers who attend to the routine and emergency needs of heating, ventilation and air conditioning users.
Our client list includes blue chips like Land Rover, Aston Martin, Berkeley Homes, Jury’s Hotels and BT – all benefiting from the improved environmental conditions provided by GEA HX.
GEA Denco Systems are now serving applications across the World in offices, hotels, clean rooms, telecommunication centres, retail premises, schools and businesses. We are proud to be a leading force in the industry as the benefits of well-engineering air conditioning continue to be realised.
