GEA Denco Ensure Pilots Keep Their Cool
GEA Denco operation in conjunction with technical and manufacturing expertise based at Head Office Hereford have supplied over fifty close control air conditioning systems to Thales. The close control units are based around our T - range systems, re-engineered and modified to comply with Thales' stringent design and performance requirements. Utilising our very efficient inverter controlled plug fans, these systems are designed to deliver the extremely high external static pressures required for the aircraft instruments and air distribution system, whilst also creating ideal comfort conditions for pilots both new and experienced, to perfect and maintain their skills.
Airlines, Aircraft Operators and Pilots
Thales has developed close ties with airlines and aircraft operators, delivering tailor-made solutions to requirements ranging from cockpit electronics to in-flight entertainment systems for passengers. As well as providing actual equipment and systems, Thales offers extensive related services and thorough through-life support as part of its turnkey solutions. Civil and military aircraft pilots come into hands-on contact with Thales technology on a daily basis, relying on a host of innovations designed and produced by the company including cutting-edge simulated training systems, digital head-up displays, integrated flight management systems or, specifically designed for military helicopter pilots, helmet-mounted sights and displays.
GEA Denco continues to supply close control systems for the Airbus and Boeing families of aircraft, also various "fast jet" flight simulators. Most recent shipments have been to both Boeing in Miami and Airbus in Toulouse.
The 'Next Generation' chilled water cooling system currently in build for Thales incorporates HEPA filters together with inbuilt smoke detection, for both simulated and potentially real cockpit fire situations.
