GEA Denco comfort air conditioning
Specialist advice
Comfort air conditioning is considered a necessity for an ever expanding range and variety of applications, and our design teams have worked on thousands: from luxury penthouse apartments to glass-walled city offices; from traditional theatres to high-tech gymnasiums; from five star hotels to giant shopping malls.
Tapping into our extensive experience can help you avoid such pitfalls. We will advise on the recommended environmental conditions for your individual application and how these can be technically achieved at minimum cost. We can then put a full comfort package together for you, leaving you in complete control.
System Design
Because we manufacture, install and maintain our own products as well as those of other major manufacturers, our specifiers and system design teams can draw upon a depth of knowledge not available to most other contracting organisations. This inbuilt advantage means we are often invited to work as part of the design and build team on major projects.
In the prestigious apartment development by Berkeley Homes at Chelsea Bridge Wharf, we worked with consulting Engineers Wallace Whittle to deliver the high standards of occupant comfort required. With some penthouses valued at a cool £3 million, compromise was not an option. Issues such as background noise from the nearby railway and the need for every apartment to have its own integral air conditioning set the engineers tough challenges.
Whatever the design requirements or the scale of your project, it is likely that we can offer you a solution. One of our most challenging exercises to date was the full fit-out of 150 branches of Barclays Bank around London. Other demanding projects include the Wembley Arena where we are providing VRV air conditioning to the main auditorium, and the Docklands Light Railway where Toshiba split air conditioning is being used to service the stations.
Install & Commissioning
To ensure our comfort solutions perform exactly as planned, installation and commissioning phases must be carried out with as much care as the design phase. Here we have a major asset: highly experienced, well-qualified staff. With a high proportion of direct employees, we can invest heavily in training. All our engineers are regularly updated on the latest techniques and technologies – essential where sophisticated microprocessors and electronics are the norm.
Commissioning is a vital element of any installation but often suffers from compressed scheduling at the tail end of the construction or installation phase. Our experienced commissioning engineers are used to working under pressure and are able to respond to a variety of circumstances. Most importantly, they give our customers confidence that their systems are fully optimised for both comfort and power consumption.
